After reading a post explaining how to edit comments in Blogger I got an idea. I would like to integrate comments editing into the Blogger posts list. So, here is the Blogger edit comments (0.2.2) user script for Greasemonkey.
It adds a link to the comments in the posts list and it adds an edit link to edit each comment in the comments list:
0.2.2
Fixed it to work with Greasemonkey 0.6.4.
0.2.1
Fixed it to work with Greasemonkey 0.5.1. Thanks to Johan Sundström for pointing the problem out.
0.2
- Removed Blogger's
onclick
which caused an extra window to be opened. - Corrected the title for the edit link.
- Added a link to quickly and permanently delete comments.
0.1
Initial version.

I just tried it and it works great. Thanks for the tip. :)
Wow. You are my hero.
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen. Well, no... the coolest thing would be that squirrel that could play the tambourine. But this is a very close second.
where should i exactly add this script?
It's a Greasemonkey script. Use Firefox and the Greasemonkey extension. By rightclicking the hyperlink to the .js file you can "install user script..."
This script hasn't worked since I upgraded to Greasemonkey 5.1
I've tried re-installing it and everything. Any idea why it isn't working?
How about making it work with 0.5.3?
I just tired it, and it's not working with it :(
Works fine in 0.5.3 over here.
This is waaay cool! Thanks! :)
thanks a lot! cool
Hi, your script works for me partly...it shows the comments bit in the manae posts section but it doesnt show the little pencil icon to allow me to edit the comment. know what the problrm could be.
im using greasemonkey 0.5.3
thanks
Works fine for me on 0.5.3
hmmm....ok then...not a problem
still a great script though
:o)
Based on the idea of adding a column to the Blogger editor, I wrote a similar script to show the backlink counts for all your blog entries. It's available at http://www.userscripts.org/scripts/show/2185 and links back to the blog entries with the #links fragment to point to the backlinks in the post item page (as that is the Blogger default, rather than the perhaps more intuitive #backlinks you use yourself).
This script is set up to inject on (among others) http://blogger.com/posts-search.g -- which is a page I am not familiar with, I believe. Where do I find it?
I am presently doing a Greasemonkey 0.6.4 rehaul of this script and thought I ought to check that it works the way it should under all circumstances.
My weird commentary on this script, by the way, should really have been about the script that links to comments from the blog post overview page.
While at it, may I feature request that the comment list dates become links to the comment anchors (the <a name="c113245413168003131"> tags) in your blog? It would be most helpful in linking to a comment, so I do not have to view the page source all the time.
Very nice! I found something new that you could add:
For people that use the Comments Popup window, if the Included Pages URL of: "http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=*&postID=*&isPopup=true" is added it will then work for the popup.
Don't forgot to visit my blog at: http://bull3t.blogspot.com
Hi,
I was always on the lookout for ways in which to edit comments on my blog. And the solution you have recommended works flawlessly. Thanks a lot.
The script seems to work consistently since I added:
http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=*&postID=*
It wasn't in my list (not sure if it was supposed to be or not) but I got the idea from bull3ts' popup script (which works really well thank you) so now it works great either way!
I wish someone could come up with a way to do this in the New (Beta) Version of Blogger.
I tried using the help form on this web page (http://blogger-templates.blogspot.com/2005/07/edit-comments.html ), but it doesn't work with the New Blogger. It used to work very well on the Old Blogger.
Any update yet on the new blogger (the google version?) - I've installed the script and it adds all the buttons in the right place but as soon as I try to edit someone else's post, I just get the standard Blogger error message, "Sorry, we could not complete your request..." - am I missing something?
I get nothing at all (no buttons, no pencils) on new Google blogger. Is there another version? Dankjewel!
I miss this feature so much since Blogger forced me to upgrade. So sad...
can u please tell me what to do in step by step after intalling the script of edit blogger comments...please.... please...My Email Id Is Vinay_vk2004@yahoo.com
